I am pleased to inform you that I am appointing you to serve as Chairman of the Ad Hoc Legislative Committee on Agency Information Technology.

The purpose of the Committee is to examine the various city, county and state agency information technology capabilities and to make recommendations to facilitate the modernization and coordination of information technology.  Focus is to be placed on effective delivery of service, improved interaction with businesses and industry, increased transparency, and the reduction of costs to the public through the use of an e-Government system.
